New realm: the Arcanic Realm. Open it from the Dimensional Gateway once your character is level 30. It holds the Arcanic Forest and, past the forest's gate, the Deserted Island, where players can fight each other.
You arrive in Veilwatch, a camp beside a sealed rift. The forest has two more towns, Ringwood and Lumenhold.
Every town has its own waystone, an anvil, a furnace and a workbench.
Veilwatch has the Item Buyer and a storage chest, Ringwood has the Alchemist, and Lumenhold has the Enchanting Station.
One road links the forest's towns to each other and on to the gate to the Deserted Island.
Improved
The Overworld no longer has the Arcanic Forest or the Deserted Island: they are in the Arcanic Realm now. If you logged out there, you come back at the nearest waystone.
Dimensional Gateway: every place shows its own picture. The Wilderness page shows how many players are inside and its boss and enemy bars, and the Arcanic Realm page shows the level you need and how close you are.
Expeditions of 4 to 6 stars now take place in the tundra.
Rajin: his Storm Crystals and acolytes now have health that fits your group, so the Eye of the Storm and the Blackout no longer drag on for small groups or melt for big ones. Both get harder every 10 seconds you leave them standing.
Rajin's Blackout: his acolytes now creep out of the dark one at a time and only shoot once you can see them.
Fixes
Moving chat colors no longer cause long freezes.
Reduced stuttering when many enemies speak at the same time.
Rajin now drops his own gear: the Static Overload Skull, which calls down a Thunder cloud that counts as a summon, the Spear of Thunder Amulet, the Commence the Storm staff and the Robe of the Thunder Mage.
New core material: Thunder in a Orb, dropped by Rajin. It raises the chance of Dexterity and Critical Chance rolls.
Arcanic Forest: a new enemy roams the forest, the Blue Wyvern. Every 3 seconds it charges you and throws a ring of 12 curving stars, and in between it fires bursts of 3 bolts.
Arcanic Forest: Fragoner Ore grows there, alone or in small clusters. Smelt 3 Fragoner Ore into a Fragoner Ingot at the Furnace.
New throwing weapons any class can use, made at the Anvil: Kunai pierce armor, 10 for 2 Titanium. Shuriken hit harder and knock enemies back a little, 5 for 2 Iron Ingots and 1 Fragoner Ingot.
Fragoner gear, made at the Anvil from Fragoner Ingots: the Fragoner Blade, Staff and Bow, the Fragoner Plate, Robe and Hide, the Fragoner Ring and the Fragoner Prism.
Fragoner weapons release crystal shards when you get hit. The shards hunt down an enemy and burst on it.
The Fragoner Prism is an ability any class can equip. It sets a crystal that fires along with you.
Fragoner armor and the ring make your summons last longer and hit harder.
Improved
Rajin has new attacks in every act, 60,000 health and 45 defense, and now drops Potions of Dexterity: one for sure and a second half the time.
Arcanic Forest: Briarfang and Bloomcaller are now level 45 with 45,000 health and 35 defense, and they and the plants around them hit harder.
Summon Damage and Summon Duration now show in light blue on item tooltips, and summon skulls show how much your Summon Damage adds.
New final boss: Rajin, the Lightning Dragon, waits in the Lightning Chamber Lair. A Lightning Chamber Lair Key opens the way. He fights in acts: break his Storm Crystals to drop his shield, survive the Blackout while his acolytes hunt you in the dark, then face his true dragon form and his Last Storm.
Improved
New players no longer have to finish the tutorial first. The Nexus, the Overworld and every gateway are open from the start, and the tutorial is still there for anyone who wants it.
Fixes
Leaving the game while the server restarted could leave you on an empty character select with no characters and 0 Glory until you restarted the game. It now waits for the server and shows your characters.
Enchant Dust now stacks with dust of the same rarity and the same percent, so all your 10% Rare Enchant Dust sits in one stack. Secret Dust stacks the same way.
Combine dust: drop a dust onto another of the same rarity, in your inventory or at the Attachment Station, to add their percents together, up to 20%. Anything over 20% comes back as its own dust.
Taking more than 180 damage in one hit makes your health bar jolt, and the health you lost flashes white.
Your health bar shows when you are Healing, with a green light sweeping along it, and when you are Bleeding, with the bar throbbing dark red like a heartbeat. Player tooltips show it too.
New option in Options, Visuals: Item Effects. Choose All to see every player's item effects, Yours to see only your own, or Off to see none. Enemy attacks always show, and in PvP you always see other players' effects.
Deserted Tomb: in the burning sun the Undying Master forms the Undying Sun, a giant ball of light whose flares hit harder the longer it lives. Relight all of the lights to break it.
Deserted Tomb: some rooms have deep chasms you can see down into.
Deserted Tomb: the statue in the middle of the master's chamber is a waypoint. Click it on your minimap to teleport back to the chamber.
Deserted Tomb: you no longer need all eight lights to wake the Undying Master. Alone you need 5, and each extra player in the tomb adds 1, up to 8. If players leave and enough lights already burn, the master wakes and the unlit wings close.
Deserted Tomb: step into a chasm to fall into The Underneath, a pitch dark cave under the tomb.
Only light lets you see. Watch for eyes in the dark: get too close and they find you first.
Walk onto an Upstairs to climb back into the tomb.
Somewhere in the dark is the Hollow, home of the tomb's second boss, The Unblinking. When it puts its lamps out, relight all eight to make it vulnerable.
Deserted Tomb: when the Undying Master falls, stairs open in the floor of his chamber. Take them down into The Underneath.
Open up to 50 caches at once. Caches now stack to 50, and the "how many" prompt goes up to 50.
Ranks: chat shows your rank before your name, like <Novice> Tidan: hello, with your guild in front of it. Your rank is the color of your rank flame and goes up as you earn flames: Novice, Adept, Veteran, Champion and Legend.
Each rank adds a cosmetic you keep: Adept shows Level Up in your rank color, Veteran colors your teleport sparkles, Champion makes your characters glow in your rank color (a Glory glow still wins), and Legend makes your rank flow in chat.
Reaching a new rank pops up a celebration.
New chat settings in Options, Chat: Chat (Shown, Commands Only or Hidden), Colors, Web Links, Prompt on Links, Chat Text Opacity, Text Background Opacity, Line Spacing, Chat Delay, Width, Focused Height, Unfocused Height and Command Suggestions.
Legends: a new gold trophy button under the Auction House button shows the game's top players on the whole screen.
Boards for most play time, most rare items found, most Glory earned in the last 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, most Glory spent and most Credits spent.
Each player shows their character, their name in their chat pill colors and their whole set of 8 equipped items. Point at an item to see its tooltip, enchants and name included.
Play time does not count while you are /afk, and only Glory the game pays you counts, not Glory traded between players.
The boards update on their own while you have them open.
Wiki: items with a shiny look show it on their page, next to their normal look.
Battle Pass: press J or the new gold ticket button. The Testing Session runs for 40 days with 50 levels.
Earn pass experience from combat and claim a free reward at every level: caches, scrolls, experience crystals, Loot Drop Potions and Glory.
The Premium Pass adds an Enchant Cache every 2nd level, including the levels you already reached. It costs 1,000 Credits.
With the Premium Pass your pass experience bar turns gold and shines.
Currency Exchange: buy and sell Credits for Glory with other players. Talk to the Currency Exchange in the Nexus or type /exchange.
Buy now or Sell now trades at once at the best price. A Buy Order or Sell Order names your own price and waits up to 30 days for another player.
Placing an order that waits costs 10 Glory. Cancel it any time to get back what it still holds.
The How it works button walks you through a trade step by step.
There is no limit on how many Credits you can buy or sell.
Players who bought Full Access get a Founder tag before their name in chat.
Hold Ctrl while pointing at an item to see its enchant card again: each enchant with its rarity and what it does, plus whether a White Scroll protects the item. Item tooltips say [Hold CTRL for enchant details] under the enchant names.
New enchants for any item: Armored (up to +5 Defense at III), Evasion (up to +5 Evasion at III), Regrowth (up to +4 Vitality at IV) and Recharge (up to +4 Wisdom at IV). Wearing them on several items adds them together.
Fishy Gills and Tidewalker are back on armor, and only the Arcanic Table can give them: enchant your armor with Coral Fruit. Fishy Gills gives +10 Speed while you are out of combat. Tidewalker removes your sprint cooldown, and while you sprint you regain half your Sprint stat as health and mana every second.
Wraithstep is back as an Epic armor enchant, up to V: while you sprint you heal 0.5% of your max health every second for each level, up to 2.5% at V.
Coral Fruit now stacks to 128.
When the server does not count one of your hits, you now see a grey miss or immune over the target instead of a damage number that did nothing. Every damage number you see is the damage really dealt.
PvP: killing a player shows a Slain marker and a You slew message, and players flash red and play a hurt sound when hit.
A Ping readout sits by the minimap. Turn it off in Options, User Interface, Show Ping.
On the Deserted Island, a player who just arrived and cannot attack yet shows a padlock next to their name.
When your connection drops, the game shows Reconnecting and puts you back where you were, usually within a second of your connection returning.
Dying no longer sends you straight to the Nexus. You stay as an unseen spirit and your soul floats where you fell, with "Name has died to Killer" under it for everyone to see. Gravestones are gone.
Watch your own soul or step through the other players in the world with the arrows on the bar at the bottom of your screen.
Press Return To Home when you are ready to go back to the Nexus.
See stats: a new button opens your character sheet, alive or dead. It replaces the old stats panel.
Your character, every stat and your crest on one side.
This life: time survived, time since your last death, and the Glory, levels, experience and kills you gained. After a death it also shows the items you lost.
Statistics: everything the game counts for your character, like kills, boss kills, teleports, quests, enchants and resources gathered. Dungeons lists every dungeon you cleared and how many times.
Skin Colors: color your character's clothing and trim. Press Colors at the Reskin Vendor.
16 colors, 10 gradients that blend from head to feet, and 10 cloth patterns.
Each costs 50 Credits, is bought once for your whole account, and works on every character.
Pick one for your clothing and one for your trim, then press Wear. Everyone sees your colors.
Auction House: pick several items on the sell screen and list them all at once, each for the same price. Click a picked item again to unpick it.
Auction House: type /ah sell, a bag slot and a price, like /ah sell 0 1000, to list the item in that slot right away. Slot 0 is the first slot of your bag.
Improved
New icons for the Options, Legends and Battle Pass buttons and for every Auction House button.
Every town waystone has new art. The waystones at Emberwatch Hold and Lumenhold are animated.
Item effects have new art: new rings, rune circles, sigils, suns, spirals and ripples on the ground, and new sparks, feathers, coins and other small pieces.
Health, mana, sprint and experience bars have a new look and fill smoothly instead of jumping.
When you lose health, the part you lost stays as a pale trail for a moment, then drains away.
Deserted Tomb: the eight lights rise into the Undying Sun and vanish, then come back down so you can relight them.
Deserted Tomb: the four braziers around the Undying Master's dais are gone, so nothing blocks your shots in his fight.
Deserted Tomb: when the sun shines into the Undying Master's chamber, the whole floor now just turns brighter. It no longer burns you, and there is no moving shadow to chase.
The weapon and ability you hold now have the same thin outline as characters and objects, at every zoom, instead of a thicker blurry one.
Screen shakes never last longer than 1.5 seconds.
The Underneath: watchers only jumpscare you one touch in five instead of every time.
Opening several caches has a new reveal: everything lands in a grid, then your rarest rewards each spin on their own reel before dropping into place.
Cache tooltips list every reward, each with its own chance to drop.
Opening many caches at once posts one chat line per item instead of one per cache.
Chat names read Name: message instead of <Name> message.
Every chat line has a see-through dark bar behind it, so chat is easy to read over any ground.
Chat Style: pointing at a chat pill previews your name in your active colors plus that one.
Rare items still sell once you reach your Credits limit: the Item Buyer and the Merchant Backpack pay their Glory value instead.
No more trial limits: every player can enter as many level 20+ dungeons as they like.
Auction House: the sell screen shows how much Glory you will receive after tax.
Enchant Caches have their own look.
Press Esc to close the window on top, like your vault, the wiki, the Auction House or the Forgery. With no window open, Esc still opens and closes your inventory.
Pointing at a character on the character select screen shows a new card: your quest flames and next flame goal in the top right, full width health, mana and sprint bars, and all of your gear and inventory.
PvP hits register reliably at higher ping: the server now looks back by each player's real ping when checking a hit.
Other players on the Deserted Island move smoother and are shown closer to where they really are.
Big bosses can be hit anywhere on their body, not only near their feet.
The character select screen is now a list with one row per character: Play on the left, Change Name and Delete on the right, and a New button on every empty slot.
Choosing a skin has a new screen: the skin large in the middle, your character's card with its gear and inventory beside it, and every skin along the bottom to browse. Buying a skin asks you to confirm first.
Every class and skin can now be dyed. Dyes and skin colors keep the shading of the sprite.
Characters no longer have a weapon drawn into their sprite. Your real weapon shows in your hand with Show Hands on, and with Show Hands off no weapon is shown.
Auction House: listings last 1 week instead of 24 hours, and you can have up to 24 items listed at once (was 12).
Auction House: the sell screen shows your equipment and bag the way your inventory does, with only the slots you really have.
Auction House: the Collection Bin only shows items that expired or that you took off sale. Items still on sale are under Your Listings.
Auction House: the button for the page you are on is grayed out, and so are empty slots.
Auction House: a selected listing reads Buy for, the price and Glory, with the seller and the time left side by side. The Buy button shows the price, and on your own listing a Delist Item button takes it off sale.
Auction House: the time left turns red when a listing has less than 12 hours to go.
Auction House: no more messages saying you cannot afford an item or that it is your own. Category View is removed.
Balance
The Underneath: watchers have 3,000 health and hit for 100 when they touch you, pushing you back a little.
The Unblinking has 200,000 health and takes 50% less damage from magic and 20% less from melee.
The Unblinking's watchers have 5,000 health and the same resistances. They chase you firing one shot at a time, then wander once close, and hit for 150 with a bigger push when they touch you.
Auction House: every sale now pays a sales tax of 10%, or 6% with the Premium Pass. The buyer pays the listed price and the tax comes out of what the seller receives.
Gear that drops in a dungeon opened with a key is Key Loot: it is always destroyed when you die, even to a player, and a White Scroll cannot protect it. Its tooltip says so.
/pay and /withdraw only work with Glory now. Credits change hands only on the Currency Exchange.
Credits Notes you already own can still be used, but can no longer be traded, dropped for others or put on the Auction House. Ones already listed go back to your Collection Bin.
The Currency Exchange no longer sells Credits Notes for Glory.
Leveling an item: Stamina rolls 2 points instead of 3, Critical Damage rolls 3 instead of 5, and Healing Proficiency rolls 1 to 2 percent.
Leveling an item: Damage Reduction is a third less likely to be the new stat an item gains.
Silenced only stops abilities now. You can still drink potions and use other consumables while silenced.
Drunk can be found on rings again, up to IV: 10% to 25% more damage, but you fire and move 6% to 15% slower. It no longer confuses you and no longer gives Strength and Sorcery.
Healthy and Guard Stance can be found again, up to III, and now work on every ability use. Healthy gives Amplified for 2 to 4 seconds and Guard Stance gives 1 to 3 barriers for 4 seconds. Each level makes your abilities cost more mana: 8 for Healthy, 10 for Guard Stance.
Mending and Regenerative are removed.
Enemy area attacks now go through your defense and can be dodged, like their bullets.
Furious now fires 1.8 times faster on your screen too, matching what the server already used.
Final Blow, Blood Ritual, Ice Strike, Molten Core and Determination hit through the normal damage rules and can now finish off an enemy.
Training dummies only take hits from the player who placed them.
Outside towns you can have one of each kind of crafting station standing in a world at a time.
Deserted Island: defense now applies before the 80% cut on player hits, so hits on armored players deal more, and every hit deals at least 1.
Fixes
The title screen character list now loads reliably when the server is busy.
Cache tooltips showed the wrong chances for some caches, like the Mining Cache, and no chances at all for caches like the Character Cache.
The first time you opened your storage, it could hang off the bottom of the screen until you closed and reopened it.
Switching characters no longer says the servers are down while they are up. The Retry button now tries again right away and is never grayed out.
Your character could keep walking after you let go of a movement key, and other keys stopped working until you clicked the world. This happened when you held a movement key while clicking a button that closed its window.
Leveling an item could give it Mining Speed, which does nothing outside a pickaxe. It no longer rolls, and gear that already has it turns it into a new stat the next time it gains experience.
Opening the game no longer sometimes signs you out with a "Too many requests" message. Your saved sign-in now goes through on launch.
Expeditions are never PvP anymore, even 5 and 6 star expeditions on the Deserted Island. Inside them there is no island damage cut and no island loot boost.
Logging out in the middle of a PvP fight no longer gets you out of it. Your character stays standing and can still be hit for 30 seconds, and logging back in puts you right back into that fight, whichever character you pick.
The health and mana numbers on the card you see when pointing at another player no longer spill out of their bars.
Fixed hits that showed a damage number but dealt no damage, including after a reconnect, after being knocked back, while Electrocuted, and while stunned.
Fixed lag kicks: short freezes, ping spikes and server hiccups no longer disconnect you.
Skull of Harden Rage's Siphon now deals its damage. It dealt none before.
Fast shots no longer pass through enemies at low frame rates, and several bullets now fly the same on your screen as on the server.
Auction House: items left unclaimed in your Collection Bin were deleted after 24 hours. They now stay until you claim them.
The Forgery no longer tells you to move closer when you are already standing next to it.
Deserted Island: 6 waystones are always active for everyone. Teleport to them from the map without finding or repairing them.
Enchant cards combine: drag a card onto an identical one to raise its level, so two Icy Veins I make Icy Veins II.
Arcanic Table: Reroll is back. Pay 25 Credits for new enchant options.
Calling a dungeon now announces it to every world with a [click to join] link that takes you straight in.
Options > Graphics > Max FPS: choose 30 to 360 frames a second. The game now runs at 250 by default (was 120), and damage numbers last just as long at any setting.
Improved
Arcanic Table: click an enchant to select it, then press the new Purchase button.
Auction House: list up to 12 items at once (was 5).
Deserted Tomb Keys can be bought with no daily limit from the Cave Dweller and the Dungeon Dweller (500 Glory).
Level 1 enchants now show their numeral, like Icy Veins I.
Auction House: the tooltip column is gone. Hover any listing to see its tooltip. Listings you cannot buy are no longer grayed out, and the listing you select glows yellow.
Balance
Deserted Island: hits on players deal 80% less, crits on players add half their bonus damage, and hits on enemies deal 50% less (was 80%). Damage is reduced before defense, and crits apply after it. Hover the cactus to see this.
Undying Master now has 175,000 health and 40 defense, the same as the Pirate King. Tomb Wardens now have 40,000 health.
The Undying Master now takes 3 seconds to remake his room, and cannot be hurt and does not attack while it changes.
Tier 5 items drop less often from regular enemies in the Deserted Tomb.
Nametags now drop only from enemies that can drop an Alien Cache, at a 1 in 50 chance. They no longer drop from every boss or domain reward chest.
Fixes
Telepathy no longer deletes items when your inventory is full. They drop in a bag next to you.
Enchant Caches now give a random Enchantment Card. Blank enchants they gave before turn into the card of their rarity.
The Arcanic Table no longer spills its last option out of the window.
